How fast the year has gone
The year started with the Spring Exhibition with Molesey Art Society with one sale. Then Oxshott Art and Craft Society had their Spring exhibition where I was awarded "Best in Show" for "Vortex ".
Early Spring was taken up with building my new studio, a log cabin in the garden and fitting it out, so not much painting got done. Now everything for my art, is under that roof and although the space is tiny I no longer share it with the tumble dryer , house paints, and tools!
In July I shared an exhibition with John Whurr at Bourne Hall and it is always a giggle to spend time stewarding with John, listening to his descriptive humour. Unfortunately no sales during this exhibition and it was the first time I did not cover my costs.
At the end of August, Molesey Art Society had their usual Tow Path Exhibition and this was very successful for me as well as being very enjoyable socially.
It is now coming to the end of our second two week stint at Bourne Hall with John Whurr and Bob Meecham. Two sales to date which is pleasing and has made up for the disappointment of July.
There are a few more exhibitions before Christmas and then I hope to put the studio to good use and get producing again.
